Tournament favorites St Mary’s SS Kitende returned to action on Thursday for their second game of the ongoing Copa Coca-Cola secondary schools Boys football tournament with a convincing 5-0 win over Iganga Parents in a group E tie played at the Kakindu stadium, Jinja.

Richard Basangwa grabbed a hat trick to take his tally to four goals in two games while SC Villa forward Charles Lwanga added a brace. Kitende opened with a 2-0 win over tricky Nakaseke International College and will return to action this Friday against Fort Portal SS at Kakindu.

Meanwhile, defending champions Buddo SS consolidated their group H lead with third straight win after walloping Akii Bua Comprehensive 6-0 in the afternoon clash to make it nine points in three games.

Elsewhere St Julian High School suffered their first defeat of the competition in three games after their 1-0 loss to St Henry’s SS, Kitovu while hosts Jinja College (JICO) remained winless after their barren draw against Mbale Progressive. JICO has drawn once and lost three in the four played.
