Women’s National Basketball League (NBL) outfit KIU Rangers have resigned Moreen Atulinda on a two-year deal.

Atulinda returns to Rangers after spending the last two seasons with JKL Lady Dolphins where she won two women’s NBL titles.

“I am happy to be back at a place I call home. My basketball career started here after High School and it has to end here. I’m back to enjoy the game, I’m back home and it feels good,” said Atulinda.

During her first tenure with Rangers that lasted five years the power forward led the team to multiple National Basketball League playoffs semifinals appearances.

Head coach Roger Sserunyigo is happy to have Atulinda back in the roster for the forth coming season and says she has been the missing link in the frontcourt.

“Moreen is a missing link filled in the area of the front court. There’s a lot of potential from her to exploit. She has a good mid-range shot, excellent at rebounding, and communicates efficiently,” Sserunyigo said.

After over a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19, domestic basketball will return on 2nd April 2021 and Rangers will be eager to tip-off.
