Kampala, Uganda, is gearing up to host an exciting cricket event in March 2025 as the inaugural BATBALL MAXX tournament takes center stage.

Organized under the Uganda Cricket Association, this tournament promises to be a groundbreaking addition to the country’s cricket calendar.

The event will feature four franchise teams comprising over 70 players, including talents from the BATBALL ecosystem, Uganda’s national team, international stars, and cricket icons.

BATBALL MAXX is designed as a T20 franchise-based competition, emulating the global leagues’ electrifying format.

The tournament will follow a double-round robin structure with 12 league games, culminating in knockout rounds and finals.

Scheduled to last 12 days, the event will feature 10 match days at Kampala’s iconic Lugogo Cricket Oval, combining world-class cricket with entertainment and cultural experiences.

This annual event builds on the success of regional and national competitions like BATBALL OPEN regionals and BATBALL X.

It aims to elevate Uganda’s cricket scene by providing a platform for emerging players to showcase their talent on a global stage, playing alongside seasoned professionals.

BATBALL MAXX promises to bring together the best of cricket, culture, and entertainment, positioning Uganda as a rising star in the world of cricket.

The exact tournament dates will be confirmed soon, but the excitement is already building for what could be a transformative moment for cricket in the region.
