Betway Power’s search for first win will not be easy as KIU Titans are the only side to win by triple figures in the top tier so far this season, thanks to their 106-75 win over debutants Kampala University (KU) on the opening weekend. Betway Power, five time NBL winners, head into the fixture with a must win on agenda but must tame Titans’ speedy style of play. Betway Power will bank on guard and new signing Syrus Kiviri, who returned 17 points last time out. Earlier in the evening, last year’s women’s finalists UCU Lady Canons and reigning champions JKL Lady Dolphins will renew rivalry when the two sides clash in one of the modern fiercest fixture in the Women league. JKL swept UCU in last year’s playoffs to claim their maiden women’s championship. They also beat UCU in their own UCU invitational tournament this year and thus making it five out five. On Wednesday, City Oilers continued their fine form with an 81-34 win over joint six-time winners Falcons asnMan of the match Tony Drileba returned 21 points. 2014 Women champions KCCA Leopards beat debutants MUK Sparks 94-50 earlier in the evening. The league continues this Saturday at YMCA, Wandegeya courts.
