StarTimes Uganda Premier League
Wednesday Fixtures – 4 PM
*Blacks Power vs SC Villa – Akii Bua stadium, Lira
*Vipers SC vs Onduparaka – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende
*Maroons vs Gaddafi – Prisons Grounds, Luzira
Former Villa striker Hussein Mbalangu will face yet another test for Blacks Power renaissance when he faces his former bosses.
After an abysmal start, the Lira based side are unbeaten in three games drawing only once in the process against four time champions URA in the last outing.
In Villa, they face a test against a team desperate to keep pace with the top legion and at the moment, more of a home side after relocating to the region for at least five games.
The visitors who beat Maroons 1-0 at the same venue in their last game will miss suspended Kenneth Ssemakula and Davis Ssekagya but still have enough in their armoury to cause the hosts problems.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.
Elsewhere, Gaddafi visit free falling Maroons at Luzira in a game that will see the former’s coach Wasswa Bbosa and winger Godfrey Lwesibawa return from a two game sanction.
Meanwhile, after missing the opportunity to go top over the weekend, Vipers can’t afford to waste the chance again when they host Onduparaka on Wednesday.
The champions are three points off the summit but will displace BUL with a win over the Caterpillars who remain the only side to win a game this season.
Roberto Oliviera has hinted at having top scorer Yunus Sentamu back in the team after the striker missed the 1-0 defeat away to Gaddafi.
The visitors could have new coach Steven Bogere in the dugout at Kitende as they look to end a 10-match winless streak against the six time champions.
Onduparaka’s last win against Vipers came in their first season in the division and have since lost seven games to the Kitende based side in the process.
