Bright Stars and Proline will both be making maiden appearance at the Stanbic Uganda Cup final when they face off on May 25 at the Masaka recreation grounds.

Proline ejected fellow FUFA Big league side Kyetume 4-3 in penalties after a three-all aggregate normal time draw in the first semi final before Bright Stars ejected joint 10-time record winners Express FC on Thursday with a 3-2 win in penalties after a two-all aggregate normal time draw.

The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in the return leg at Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

John Revita gave the Red Eagles lead in the third minute but James Angu came off the bench and headed home to level matters for the visitors to force penalties after a 1-1 first leg stalemate at the Champions stadium, Mwererwe.
In the penalties, Hamza Muwonge heroically saved three Red Eagles’ kicks -keeping out Michael Birungi, Davies Mayanja and Sadiq Ssekyembe. Disan Galiwango and Jon Revita scored the only penalties for Express.
Farouk Katongole, Rajab Kakooza and Nelson Ssenkatuka netted for Bright Stars as James Angu and Enock Walusimbi failed to convert theirs.
