BUL FC took care of Black Power FC 3-1 on Wednesday to reach the last 16 of the Uganda Cup.

Having won the first leg 2-0, the Jinja based side won the tie 5-1 on aggregate.

Joseph Ssemujju, Peter Oketch and Robert Mukongotya were all on target for Arthur Kyesimira’s side while Michael Siwu netted the visitors’ consolation.

BUL got off to a bright start as Ssemujju put them ahead on 20 minutes much to the delight of the home faithful.

They were soon two goals to the good as Oketch netted the second five minutes later.

The visitors could have conceded more before the break but Deogracious Ojok and Ssemujju were not clinical when presented with good opportunities.

Black Power looked a better side in the second half but had to wait until the 82nd minute to pull a goal back through Siwu.

Hopes of salvaging a draw, on the day at least, were ended moments later when Mukongotya scored BUL’s third of the afternoon.

The result means BUL progress to the last 16 while Black Power are eliminated.
