Tooro United will be seeking their first win at Vipers SC when they travel to Kitende this Tuesday in one of the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier league match day two four fixtures.

The fixture that will be officiated by FIFA referee Brian Nsubuga Miiro will also be the third game shown live by the league broadcasters StarTimes this season on Sanyuka TV.

Last season, St Mary’s SS, Kitende hosted the first live TV game as Vipers SC beat new comers then Ndejje University 1-0 courtesy of Davis Kasirye stoppage time goal in the season opener.

The two teams meet for the 13th competitive time  and the hosts boast of a commanding 8 wins, 4 draws in the last 12 methods.

The stats mean that Tooro United that have drawn thrice in the last six visits at Kitende seek first win at the Venoms. Allan Kayiwa will be facing his former employers for the time since joining the three-time champions this season on a three-year deal.

The corresponding fixture last season ended goalless and the result marked the exit of Mexican coach Javier Martinez Espinoza at Kitende.

The reigning Pilsner Super 8 champions came from behind to beat 10-man Bright Stars 3-1 in the opening game with goals from Abraham Ndugwa, Brian Nkubi and last season top scorer Dan Sserunkuma.

Enock Walusimbi scored Bright Stars’ consolation before Farouk Katongole was sent off after second booking as Bright Stars got their third straight red card in match day one of the last three seasons.

It was the third time Vipers and Bright Stars clash in the league opener with the previous two fixtures ending in stalemates. Tooro United meanwhile beat Busoga United 2-1 in the opening fixture with goals from new signing John Ssemazzi and substitute Fredrick Kigozi cancelling out George Kasonko’s goal. After one game, Vipers are third on log, a place above Tooro United as Mbarara City and URA take the top two spots respectively by goal-advantage.
