Proline vs Onduparaka, Lugogo

SC Villa vs Mbarara City, Namboole (Live, 8pm)

Police vs BUL, Wakiso

Three matches complete match day two of the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda premier league and the live TV match at Sanyuka TV has SC Villa hosting Mbarara City in the night game under flood lights at the Namboole stadium.  Kyetume beat record 16-time champions SC Villa 1-0 at the same venue last Thursday night courtesy of Cephas Kambugu goal while the Ankole Lions whipped Proline 3-0 at Luzira the following day.

The last meeting between the two sides was in early April this year at the same venue in the  second game under flood lights. Goal keeper Ali Kimera had two costly mistakes on which Villa pounced to earn a 2-1 victory which led to his indefinite suspension by the club before his exit to Busoga United.

Alishe while captain of Mbarara City

Gadaffi Gadinho could make his debut for the Ankole Lions while Asuman Alishe will face his former bosses for the first time since being named SC Villa captain. Paul Mucureezi scored twice in the season opener and it expected to propel his fine record against the Jogoos having scored his first goal for Mbarara City against the same side before going on score 24 in total from the 27 appearances.

Mbarara City has never lost in a game where Mucureezi has scored and the forward has scored four time in as many previous games. SC Villa lost their second game of last season 1-0 to Onduparaka at Namboole with Rashid Toha’s free kick inside the opening minute being the earliest goal of the season. Mbarara City meanwhile lost 1-0 away to Ndejje University.

Meanwhile Onduparaka whose  opening day opponents Police FC did not honor the fixture were awarded 3 points and 2 goals to win the game by forfeiture. FUFA sent match officials in Luzira for the game but Police was in Nairobi, Kenya for the East African Police Chiefs Organisation Corporation (EAPCO) games.

The Cops reportedly did not officially inform the football authorities and did not respond to charges by the Fufa disciplinary committee. Onduparaka, who play Proline at the StarTimes stadium in Lugogo, also come into the fixture buoyed with the news of FUFA clearing their Green light stadium to host games. Against the West Nile side, Matia Lule seeks first win at Proline.

Since replacing Shafiq Bisaso, who went to Sweden for a year coaching course, Lule is yet to win at Proline as head coach in the three games in charge.

They have conceded seven and scored once through Peter Magambo’s own goal in their 4-1 loss to KCCA in the 2019 FUFA Super Cup. Proline ejected Onduparaka at the round of last season’s Stanbic Uganda Cup after a 2-1 at Lugogo in their recent clash.

Bright Anukani and Ivan Bogere scored for Proline while Ceaser Okuthi scored for Onduparaka.
