Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC Head Coach Morley Byekwaso says that the team’s new Captain Benjamin Ochan has all the qualities to wear the armband ahead of the rest.

Byekwaso named Ochan the team captain at the club’s flag off event on Thursday at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo ahead of the 2021/22 season that kicks off today, Friday, 15th October.

“I have chosen Ochan Benjamin as Captain because of his experience as a person and one who knows this football club in and out. He has got all the qualities to make a good captain and he is the right player to lead these players,” Byekwaso told the club website.

“Ochan will be deputized by Gift Ali Abubakar, Denis Iguma and Julius Poloto. All these three are leaders and can be able to stand in as Captain on any day,” Byekwaso added.

Ochan replaces Charles Lukwago who joined St George in Ethiopia in the off-season.

Ochan returned for his third stint at KCCA FC in September 2021. The goal keeper had previously played for KCCA FC in 2008/9. and 2015 – 2018.
