Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Put is set to announce the national team squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mozambique and Guinea.
The squad unveiling will take place on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11 am at the FUFA Complex in Mengo.
The Uganda Cranes will begin their qualification campaign with an away fixture against Mozambique on March 20, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt. They will then return home to host Guinea at the newly refurbished Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, on March 25, 2025.
FUFA Communications Director Ahmed Hussein confirmed the announcement, stating that Coach Put is eager to resume the qualifiers and will engage the sports media during the squad release.
The selection of players for the crucial matches is highly anticipated, as Uganda aims to secure a strong position in the qualification race for the 2026 World Cup.
