Kutchi Tigers stage remarkable comeback
At Entebbe Cricket Oval, defending champions Kutchi Tigers clawed their way to a 10-run victory against Avengers in a low-scoring thriller. After being skittled for just 66 runs—thanks to devastating spells from Pius Oloka (6/18) and Yashvi Joshi (4/25)—Kutchi looked down and out. But Ghanshyam Ashani’s inspired five-wicket haul (5 wickets and 14 runs) flipped the script, bundling Avengers out for 56. His efforts earned him Player of the Match.
Tornado Bees Bounce Back in Style
In Kamengo, Tornado Bees made light work of Wanderers, securing a dominant nine-wicket win. Chasing 122, Gerald Olipa Opunu (50*) and Anas Baig (42) saw them home in just 16.3 overs. Abdul Aziz Tandia starred with the ball, taking 3/9 in a clinical bowling performance.
Ceylon Lions back in business
Over in Jinja, Ceylon Lions bounced back with a 38-run win over JACC. Charles Musemeza top-scored with 53 as the Lions posted 141. Juma Miyaji’s all-round effort (28 runs and 2/13) helped dismantle JACC for 103, earning him Player of the Match.
Rain forces abandonment at Entebbe
Only one fixture was affected by rain. Nile vs Entale was called off due to a persistent drizzle and waterlogged conditions at Entebbe Oval. Both sides walked away with a point.
Aboojo dominate Rounders
Aboojo continued their unbeaten run, thrashing Rounders by 72 runs at Lugogo Oval. After posting 198—powered by Brian Asaba (38), Fortune Alijuna (31), and Mathew Musinguzi (39)—they bowled out Rounders for 126. Musinguzi capped off a brilliant all-round display with 5 wickets, earning him Player of the Match honors.
