Cubs in preparation for AFCON Zonal Qualifiers

Uganda U17 national football team (Uganda Cubs) had a morning session today at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru. The team is in preparations for the AFCON Zonal Qualifiers-CECAFA Region 2022 slated for 30th September to 15th October 2022 in Ethiopia.

The Uganda U-17 Preliminary Squad is undergoing training and mandatory exercises before a final squad is named for further sessions.

The initial stages of the exercise started with more than 60 players summoned many of them selected from the various Youth Competitions; USSSA Football Championships held in Arua and Lira, CAF Pan African Schools Championship and players already in the FUFA Youth players database system.

The players are required to undergo various medical tests including MRI, collection of data and passport processing.

FUFA will release the final squad as will be provided by the Head Coach Hamzah Lutalo and his assistant Brian Ssenyondo.
