Uganda Cranes Head coach Sebastien Desabre has turned much focus on goal hunt as the team intensifies preparations for next month’s AFCON finals in Egypt.

The Cranes open their campaign against DRC on June 22 in group A that also has Zimbabwe and fierce hosts Egypt. The French tactician took seven players, mostly forwards, for the Friday morning training session at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Nsibambi takes a move as Desabre keenly follows

The rest of the team stayed at the Park Rotana Hotel where they are camped whilst gym session was organised for Murushid Juuko and midfielder Khalid Aucho.

Captain Denis Onyango led the selected seven players that included Miya Farouk, Allan Kyambadde, Joseph Ochaya, Patrick Kaddu, Derrick Nsibambi and Isaac Muleme through the drills.

The players took strict attacking instructions from Desabre facing the continent’s best goal keeper in the scorching morning sunshine.

According to Ahmed Hussein, the FUFA communication manager and Cranes media officer, the entire team of 17 players in camp took to the evening session.

More 11 players will join starting from this weekend and Desabre believes that the camp in Abu Dhabi will help players acclimatize to the weather they will find in Egypt
