(Aziz Damani Scorpions won by 9 wickets)

Game Two:

Aziz Damani Scorpions have gone top of the Elite T20 League table after emerging only winners on day three at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Scorpions came good in both the first and second game against Royal Varsani Bucks and Mamba Challengers respectively to increase their credentials for the finals.

In the first game, Scorpions beat Bucks by a whopping nine wickets (59/1 against 58/10) before winning by 16 runs against Mamba (148/5 against 132/10) later in the afternoon.

In game one, Gerald Mubiru of Scorpions claimed man of the match honors after posting 4 wickets for 15 runs in 3.5 overs. In the second game, his team mate Steven Wabwose was named man of the match after managing 28 off 35 balls and 2 run outs.

Scorpions now boost of a Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.749 and six points off three wins and one loss and are on top of the table.

Bucks who also have three wins and one loss from four games are second with an NRR of -0.213 and six points.

Winless Mamba are at the bottom of the three franchise-team league with an NRR of -0.439 with no point.

Round two (final round) of the league bowls off this Wednesday in Lugogo with Bucks having a double header on the cards.

Bucks could book a slot in the final today if they win all their games. But still a win for both Bucks and Scorpions implies that Mamba is out and final decided.

The final that will be played between the top two teams after six match days is slated for Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday, 28th October Fixtures:

10am: The Royal Varsani Bucks vs. Aziz Damani Scorpions

2pm: Mamba Challengers vs. The Royal Varsani Bucks
