The Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 draw was held on Tuesday at the FUFA Complex in Mengo, with the event streamed live on FUFA TV.

Former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper and five-time cup winner Ibrahim Mugisha conducted the draw, setting the stage for thrilling knockout matches across the country.

Defending champions Kitara FC, who clinched the title last season with a narrow 1-0 victory over NEC FC, will face Big League side Gaddafi FC in an away fixture.

Meanwhile, record cup winners KCCA FC will host the surprise package of the tournament, Rwenzori Lions, from the Kitara region.

Nine-time winners SC Villa, fresh off their StarTimes Uganda Premier League triumph, will travel to Lugazi FC for their round-of-16 clash. Meanwhile, current league leaders Vipers SC, also three-time cup champions, will face FUFA Big League leaders Blacks Power FC at home.

URA FC, another team with three cup titles, will square off against Mbale-based Big League side Kataka FC in a promising encounter.

Other standout fixtures include 2022 champions BUL FC hosting West Nile’s Total FC, Maroons FC battling Police FC in a military derby, and Big League side Kaaro Karungi challenging UPDF FC.

FUFA Competitions Director, Hajat Aisha Nalule, confirmed that the Round of 16 matches will be played as single-leg fixtures from Monday, March 17, to Friday, March 21, 2025.

The team with the most goals at the end of the match will progress to the next stage, with penalty shootouts determining the winner in case of a draw.
