Express vs Busoga United – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku 3pm
The Uganda Premier League (UPL) heats up as Express FC gears up to face off against Busoga United at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, today with the match set to kick off at 3 pm.
Under the leadership of Baker Mbowa, former Proline and Soltilo Bright Stars coach, Express FC is eager to secure only their second victory since Mbowa took over from Alex Isabirye.
With the team currently positioned 9th on the league table, having accumulated 32 points, they are keen to bounce back from recent setbacks, having lost four out of their last five matches.
However, standing in their way is a determined Busoga United side fighting to avoid relegation.
With 22 points, just one point and position above the relegation zone, Busoga United enters the game with renewed confidence following recent impressive performances, including a win and a draw against tough opponents like Wakiso Giants and URA.
Express FC holds the advantage from their previous encounter, having emerged victorious with a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru. Yet, they cannot afford to underestimate the threat posed by Busoga United, who will be eager to turn the tables.
