Express Welcome FUFA Ruling On Galiwango Case
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

On Wednesday this week, FUFA Dispute Resolution Chamber ordered Vipers SC new signing Dissan Galiwango to refund his former club Express FC an amount of 25 Million Shillings after he was found guilty of breaching the pre contract clause.

Earlier on, Express FC petitioned FUFA after Vipers SC unveiled their player whose contract was still running.

In November 2019, Express made a written agreement with Galiwango who was paid 15 Million Shillings by club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka to renew his contract.

However, Galiwango breached the contract and moved to Vipers a few weeks ago. It is in this line that he has been ordered to pay compensation of 10 Million Shillings for breach of his obligation, bringing a total sum of his charges to 25 Million Shillings.

With the matter that has been going on for a while now settled, Express, a Wankulukuku based Uganda Premier League side have welcomed FUFA judgement.

According to Express website, club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa who found the matter on table when he joined the club has revealed that the club is at peace with the ruling and the player and wish him the best in future.

“As a club we let football win. We didn’t want to drag this issue for so long,” Mwesigwa said.

“The club wishes Dissan Galiwango success in his new adventure,” Mwesigwa added.

However, FUFA also made it clear that the player won’t be issued a player license for the upcoming season unless the money is paid in full.
