Today, the ISF and CAF contingent, which includes athletes, USSSA, Ministry of Education and Sports officials, and Members of Parliament, will be honored with a luncheon at Imperial Hotel.
This celebration highlights the achievements of Ugandan schools on the international stage at the CAF Schools Football Championship in Zanzibar and the International Schools Federation Football World Cup in Dalian, China.
Uganda was represented by five schools in these prestigious tournaments. Kawempe Muslim SS (girls) and St. Mary’s Boarding School Kitende (boys) competed in Zanzibar, while Amus College School (boys and girls), Bukedea Comprehensive School, and St. Mary’s College Kisubi participated in China.
The country’s efforts were rewarded with three medals: a silver and two bronzes. Amus College School secured the silver medal in Dalian, while Bukedea Comprehensive School and Kawempe Muslim SS each won bronze medals, marking a significant achievement for Ugandan school sports on the global stage.
