FIFA WC Qualifiers: Micho positive as Uganda prepare for Rwanda double header

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Mulitin Micho Sredojevic says that his players are upbeat ahead of their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers double header against neighbors Rwanda. The two sides face off on 7th and 10th October in Kigali and Wakiso respectively.

Uganda Cranes team (mainly composed of local based players) continues with preparations for the upcoming double encounter.

“We have started the second phase of our preparations for Rwanda after a successful Eastern Region Tour. Everybody in camp is focused and I’m very positive that the players will deliver,” Micho told FUFA website.

The team trained at Lugogo on Tuesday morning and conducted an intensive training session. Micho says the side will hold more drills and practice sessions before the Rwanda do.

“We are planning to have two practice matches against KCCA on Thursday and Vipers on Sunday to prepare the boys in match situations as we wait for the foreign based players are expected to start joining the camp by Monday,” Micho added.

The team is residing at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi.

In the opening match of Qualifiers, Uganda drew 0-0 against Mali at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
