Consy Aweko will lead the Victoria Pearls (Uganda women’s cricket team) squad of 14 girls for the T20 Series in Nairobi Kenya from Dec 11th – 22nd.

The team welcomes back Proscovia Alako, Immaculate Nakisuyi, Stephanie Nampiina, Irene Alumo, and Proscovia Alako who have missed the last international engagements for the Victoria Pearls.

The series in Nairobi will feature Uganda, Kenya, and Qatar. The matches will have T20i status and there will be ranking points to collect for either of the sides. The Victoria Pearls are ranked 19th in the World and will be hoping that they can be able to improve on that ranking.

The side will be led by Head Coaches Lawrence Ssematimba and his assistant Lawrence Ssempijja for the series.

The team was successful in Nepal early this year and they will be hoping to do better with a more experienced squad.

Ahead of a year that has qualifiers for the Victoria Pearls the series will help the girls to test themselves against quality opposition.

Full Team: Consy Aweko (Captain), Janet Mbabazi, Immaculate Nakisuyi, Stephanie Nampiina, Irene Alumo, Kevin Awino, Proscovia Alako, Patricia Malemikia, Evelyn Anyipo, Gloria Obukor, Sarah Akiteng, Phiona Khulume, Esther Iloku & Rita Musamali.
