The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has banned 12 individuals from all football related activities for involvement in a match manipulation scheme orchestrated by a foreign betting syndicate that targeted a number of fixtures in the 2023/2024 season.

One of the persons has been banned for life while the rest were handed lengthy sanctions. The Investigatory Chamber of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee conducted investigations and the Adjudicatory held hearings against several football individuals for alleged breach of Article 43 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

The sanctions imposed on the individuals were taken based on the different mitigating and aggravating circumstances for each party in regard to the degree of involvement in the match-fixing and the level of assistance and cooperation with the investigation.
