FUFA Women Super League
Matchday Three Results
UCU Lady Cardinals FC 5-0 Lady Doves FC
She Maroons FC 0-1 Kampala Queens FC
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC 1-1 FC Tooro Queens
Rines SS WFC 0-0 She Corporate FC
Uganda Martyrs WFC 2-1 Olila High School WFC

Matchday Three of the FUFA Women Super League played over the weekend produced thrilling moments in all the five games played across the country.

UCU Lady Cardinals FC maintained their perfect start and sent early signals for the title challenge by dispatching reigning Champions Lady Doves FC.

In a repeat of last season’s final, the University side obliterated Lady Doves by winning 5-0 in the game played at UCU Grounds, Mukono.

Lethal forward Hasifa Nassuna extended her fine form by registering a third goal this season in as many games.

The 2016 Airtel Female Footballer of the year has scored in each of the three games played this season and currently leads the scoring charts.

The other goals for UCU Lady Cardinals were scored by Harriet Muwugumya, Sandra Kisakye, Asiat Nalugwa and Shadia Nankya.

Victory meant the 2019 League winners moved top of the log with 9 points, two ahead of She Corporate FC who fired blanks against Rines SS WFC.

She Corporate despite dominating proceedings and creating numerous chances failed to overcome new comers Rines SS WFC, with the game ending in a barren stalemate.

Elsewhere, Kampala Queens picked their first win of the season by edging past She Maroons in Luzira thanks to Margaret Kunihira’s solitary goal.

The Queens of Soccer had lost to Kawempe Muslim on matchday one and drew goalless against Tooro Queens last weekend.

Tooro Queens themselves picked their third draw in their opening three games of the season. The Country Queens held Kawempe Muslim to a one-all draw.

Imelda Kasemire had given the Fort Portal based outfit the lead but Kawempe Muslim fought back to salvage a point through Hadijah Nandago’s equalizer.

In Lubaga, Uganda Martyrs WFC needed to come from a goal down to overcome resilient Olila High School WFC.

Grace Aluka opened the scores in a closely contested game but the double substitution of Esther Naluyimba and Brenda Munyana produced magic for the hosts.

Naluyimba found the equalizer a minute after the hour mark while Munyana netted the winner in the 74th minute.

Action will continue next weekend with matchday four games. Olila High School WFC will be at home to She Maroons in Soroti, Kampala Queens take on Uganda Martyrs High School WFC while She Corporate FC will be at home to struggling Lady Doves FC.

League leaders UCU Lady Cardinals will make the trip to Fort Portal to face FC Tooro Queens while Kawempe Muslim Ladies will entertain Rines SS WFC.
