Rays of Grace Junior School and Academy this week held a Pro Agenda training at their campus in Kirugu, Njeru Municipality. The academy members and staff plus other officials dominated the one day seminar.

The training was conducted by FUFA Technical Development Director, Ali Mwebe, FUFA Youth Development Manager, Bashir Mutyaba, FUFA Sports Science Expert, Ismail Assimwe and Uganda Youth Football Association Secretary General, Shafic Kigongo.

“The seminar has been very nice and productive!” Mwebe said adding that; “I take this opportunity to applaud the management, Director and entire staff of Rays of Grace Academy who have put in effort to organize and also be part of this workshop.”

“The seminar was about how to implement the new FUFA Academy Regulations that have been inaugurated and are now in place,” Mwebe said.

In March this year, FUFA introduced academy regulations that is compounded into five key areas, that is; governance, sporting, personnel and administration, finance plus infrastructure and equipment.

Recently, Rays of Grace put up a 7-aside modern football astro turf as an addition to their facilities/play grounds. The initiative has attracted FUFA’s attention.

“As FUFA, we also inspected the facilities that this Academy has put in place; it’s a wonderful investment. They have pitches, equipment for players and basically everything they need to train a player,” Mwebe added.

Mwebe now advises the academy to work hard both on and off the pitch to spur the game to greater heights.
