Isinde leads Cranes against Lesotho in Cosafa

Uganda Cranes vs Lesotho

Kirinya Jinja SSS defender Isaac Isinde and KCCA FC midfielder Muzamiru Mutyaba are the Captain and assistant respectively for the Cosafa Cranes team in Durban, South Africa named by Head Coach Abdullah Mubiru.

The Cranes, who participate as guests, start the campaign this Saturday at against Lesotho.

According to Mubiru, the team has benefited a lot from the two-week camp and believes his charges are ready for the challenge.

“I thank FUFA for the camp. The team is fit mentally and physically to play good football and compete,” noted Mubiru. According to Mutyaba, the team is united and there is high coordination. We are in the championship to compete and not participate,” he noted.

A contingent of 29 players; 20 players and 9 officials arrived in South Africa on Wednesday ahead of the team’s first match at Princess Magogo stasdium.

Mubiru, who is in charge on behalf of Sebastien Desabre who is with the AFCON bound squad in Abu Dhabi camp, is deputized by Livingstone Mbabazi and Sadiq Wassa as the goalkeeping coach.
