Defender Geriga Atendele says that joining Arua Hill Sports Club is something he has longed for following his move to the Uganda Premier League side on Tuesday ahead of the new football season set to kick-off later this month.

“It’s a move I’ve longed for, with it being officialized I feel relaxed and comfortable because now I can get to concentrate in the pitch,” Atendele told club media.

Atendele joins the club on a two year deal from Wakiso Giants FC with the deal also including extension option. In Arua Hill, the player reunites with Charles L. Mbabazi, his former manager at Onduparaka and Wakiso Giants.

Atendele says that he’s already held talks with members of the dugout and and they’re revved up for the new season.

“We’ve discussed much with the coaches, now we want to work towards actualizing our dream.” He added.

Atendele made his Uganda Premier League debut following his move to Onduparaka FC in the first round of the 2019/20 season where his display attracted interest from Wakiso Giants which he joined in the second half of the 2019/20 season.
