The Katikiro of Buganda Kingdom Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga will be the Chief Guest as the second edition of The FUFA Drum gets underway this Saturday at Mukono Bishops SS grounds with champions Buganda hosting Lango province.
Buganda province coach Alex Isabirye summoned a star-studded 23-man squad to start preparations for title defense after beating West Nile 2-1 on aggregate at last year’s two-legged finals to become maiden champions.
Last year, the Speaker of parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga was the chief guest as her Busoga province whipped Bugisu 3-0 in the opener at Kyabazinga stadium, Bugembe with goals from Hamisi Tibita, Richard Wandyaka and Joel Madondo.
Buganda are placed in group A with Lango, Sebei and Ankole provinces.
