KCCA FC and Young Africans SC sign pact to promote each other

Uganda Premier League side Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC and their Tanzanian counterparts Young Africans SC have signed a pact to ensure mutual affiliation and relationship building among the two parties.

The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Saturday, 14th August in Dar-es-salaam and the three-year partnership is effective from August 2021 to August 2024.

According to KCCA FC website, the partnership ensures the following;

*KCCA FC to bench mark from Young Africans SC on fans mobilization and engagement strategies hence growing the game of football together in the East African region.

*Both Clubs to facilitate Human Resource exchange programs across board including Players, Coaches and other staff where applicable.

*Both Clubs to share knowledge and expertise where applicable in the different departments at the Clubs.

Both Clubs to consult the other party of any Player/s in their respective Leagues as deemed fit.

Both clubs to host each other for training camp (Pre-Season) during agreed favorable timelines.

KCCA FC Vice Chairman Aggrey Ashaba signed the agreement on behalf of KCCA FC while Haji Mfikirwa Ag. Secretary General of Young Africans SC signed for the Tanzanian side and both parties were flanked by their respective club officials.

“We have signed a partnership on technical and knowledge exchanges, player development programmes and player transfers. This partnership is inline with our strategic plan. Among the key result areas include Human capital development and Strategic alliances and partnerships. We hope to have a grateful partnership with Young Africa SC,”KCCA’s Ashaba told the club website.

Young Africans’ Mfikirwa too is delighted with this development and believes that the pact will be of benefit to both parties.

“We are delighted to partner with KCCA FC and we look forward to greater things together. KCCA FC is one of the biggest clubs in CECAFA and having a Memorandum of Understanding with them will help develop each other and grow better as clubs, Mfikirwa said.

Young Africans SC is the second football club on the continent of Africa that KCCA FC has signed a partnership with. The first was El Gouna (Egypt) in 2019.

KCCA FC now has a number of partnerships with different entities namely; USPA, Masaka SSS, Kibuli SSS, Old Kampala SSS, Club Ambiance, Century Cinema, El Gouna FC (Egypt) and Young Africans SC among others .

KCCA had pitched a training camp in Daresalaam, Tanzania ahead of the 2021/22 football season. KCCA had travelled to Dar-es-salaam for the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup but failed to defend the title they won in 2019 after they were shown the exit at group stage level, Uganda Premier League title holders Express FC won the title on Saturday. After their elimination, a decision was reached by club management for the team to camp for one week in Dar-es-salaam.
