KCCA FC have agreed terms to sell youngster Steven Sserwadda to Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls FC.

The move was confirmed by the Lugogo based side on Tuesday afternoon.

“We here by confirm that we have finalised an agreement for the transfer of Steven Sserwadda to New York Red Bulls on an undisclosed permanent transfer.” KCCA confirmed on their website.

The 18 year old midfielder joined KCCA Soccer Academy in 2015 and has won a Cecafa Clubs Cup, 1 Uganda Premier League, 2 Super Cups, a Super 8 cup and also featured for the side in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Sserwadda is currently a player with the U20 and U23 Uganda National Football Teams.

He joins former KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes player and captain Ibrahim Sekagya who is an assistant coach at New York Red Bulls.

In the MLS, he also joins former KCCA defender Mustafa Kizza who plays for Montreal Impact FC.

KCCA FC will also get a 10% fee on any forward transfer of Sserwadda outside the Major League Soccer.

He is the third player to depart KCCA this summer after Filbert Obenchan and Kezironi Kizito were released earlier this month.
