With four games to play, KCCA are at the top of the Premier league table with six points separating them from second placed Vipers SC that lost 2-1 at home to URA FC on Friday at the St Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

The poor run of their title challengers has rendered KCCA (56 points) a comfortable ride to their 13th title despite also not playing to satisfaction.

As the countdown to the climax continues, KCCA Manager Mike Mutebi says that he will not be cautious as they host faded giants Express FC at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo this Saturday afternoon as they seek to extend their point gap at the top to nine.

“My team is playing at 45% throughout the season but towards the end, they have upped to 50% and I hope we get better. We want to win all the remaining games because Vipers are still challengers,” said Mutebi, who vowed to unleash an attack-minded team. Mike Mutyaba, Julius Poloto and Muwadda Mawejje are out injured for KCCA who want to revenge against the 3-2 loss in the reverse fixture at Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku. After their 1-1 draw against fellow faded rivals SC Villa, the Red Eagles Coach George Ssemwogere was happy with a point although he felt he should have won the game. “Every game comes with different strategies, tactics and approach. Against KCCA, many things may change,” noted Ssemwogerere, whose side sits 11th with 33 points in 26 games. Express trained at the St Mary’s stadium, Kitende twice this week to get used to the artificial turf. Skipper Isaac Mutanga returns for the visitors while Tony odur remains doubtful. Ssemwogerere believes a team that gets tactics right will win the tie albeit KCCA losing only once at home this season.
