StarTimes Uganda Premier League
Tuesday fixtures
*UPDF vs Wakiso Giants
*Police vs KCCA
*Arua Hill vs Bright Stars
KCCA FC will go top of the Startimes Uganda Premier League table (for today) if they beat Police FC in today’s matchday 21 fixture at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
With just 10 games left to wind down the 2021/22 season, KCCA have 41 points, just two behind log leaders Vipers SC who will play their 21st game of the season on Wednesday. Police are 10th with 22 points.
KCCA would be level on points with Vipers at the moment but were held to a barren stalemate by SC Villa over the weekend at Lugogo. Police on the other side also played to a goalless draw against Busoga United last time out.
Police are winless against their Lugogo neighbors in league history. From the 22 games played between the two sides, they have drawn 8 times and KCCA has won 16 times with the Cops seeking to get off the mark against their landlords.
However, KCCA Coach Badru Kaddu has ruled out complacency urging that their rivals could pull out a stunner if not taken seriously.
“Police are our direct opponent because we share the same facility. However, our aim is to win the game and go top of the table,” Kaddu said in a pre match interview with the club’s media team.
Kaddu however worries that his side haven’t been ruthless in front of the goal something that explains why they’re not scoring many goals. He adds that it’s the same problem throughout the league.
Elsewhere, UPDF FC will play host to Wakiso Giants at Bombo while in the West Nile region, Arua Hill will be entertaining their visitors Bright Stars at the Barifa Stadium.
