Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC have officially unveiled forward Alpha Thierry Ssali as their latest signing, securing the 21-year-old on a two-year contract following his short stint at NEC FC.
Ssali makes the switch to Lugogo just eight months after joining NEC from Express FC, where he initially signed a two-year deal. However, limited playing time under head coach Hussein Mbalangu, coupled with stiff competition from veterans Paul Mucureezi and James Jarieko, meant the young attacker was eager for a fresh opportunity.
Before NEC, Ssali spent a season and a half at Express FC, having joined them in August 2023 from Proline FC. His development across the last two seasons has been closely watched, and the move to KCCA FC is seen as a chance for him to gain consistency and make a real impact in the league.
KCCA FC’s acquisition of Ssali is part of a wider squad rebuild, with the club actively strengthening ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Other recent arrivals include Charles Lukwago, Rogers Mugisha, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Herbert Achayi, Lazaro Muhindo Bwambale, and Enock Walusimbi.
Now officially part of one of Uganda’s top clubs, Ssali will be looking to cement his place in the starting XI and reignite his development under the spotlight. Whether operating as a winger or central forward, his versatility could prove valuable in KCCA’s tactical plans for the upcoming season.
