Kings College-Buddo SS will be the hosts for this year’s national schools Open chess championship due May 3-8, the Uganda Chess Federation (UCF) has confirmed.
According to David Muwanguzi, the UCF Publicity Secretary, the championship will be graced by the finest chess playing schools in the country and over 100 players are expected to partake in the five-day championship.
“We shall have financial literacy lessons facilitated by Bank of Uganda and the winners will take home medals, trophies and cash prizes,” noted Muwanguzi.
There will be two categories of competition; Primary and secondary at Shs400000 registration fee per school.
