Wakiso Giants Coach Kefas Kisala is looking forward to the best performance in the 2019 Pilsner Super 8 tournament that gets underway on July 24 as a precursor to the new 2019/20 season.

According to the draws held on Monday at UBL offices in Luzira, The newly promoted side opens the 2nd edition of the competition against KCCA FC at home and Kisala, who replaced Ibrahim Kirya as the Purp0le Sharks Head coach last month, believes that the tournament will give his charges the best test ahead of the premier league debut.

“The tournament is very good for us. We hope to test many things during the tournament but of course also playing for the crown. It is a new league and we need to have that test from the big teams from top tier,” noted Kisala.

Wakiso Giants have beefed up squad with goalkeeper Derrick Emukule (Ndejje), Aggrey Madoi (free agent), Muwadda Mawejje (KCCA) and Ivan Ssebuguzi (Kampala University).

KCCA FC the Pilsner super 8 inaugural winners after beating Onduparaka 2-0 on the final last year at the Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku with goals from Sadam Juma and Allan Okello.
