Kobs are champions of the 2021 Rugby Premier League season after beating Black Pirates 15-05 in one of the fixtures of the season finale played on Saturday at Legends Grounds in Kampala.
In the match buildup, Kobs were topping the table with 38 points while Black Pirates were second with 35 points hence the winner would take the league and the hosts did.
Alhaji Manano and Derrick Tuwasibwe scored Kobs tries with James Ijongat converting one but also scoring a penalty to end Kobs four-year title wait.
Pirates only try (unconverted) of the match was scored by Haruna Mohamed.
The triumph means that Kobs win the title unbeaten in the 10-team league that was played in just one round. Kobs finished atop with 42 points, three ahead of runners up Pirates.
Kobs also finish the season with the best defensive record after conceding only two tries in the entire campaign.
