The 2021 Rugby Premier League season that kicked off in March will wind down this Saturday, 8th May 2021 with all the 10 teams in action across four turfs.

Rugby faithful will have their eyes glued at Legends Grounds where table leaders Kobs will be facing second placed Black Pirates at 4 p.m. Kobs who are the only perfect team in the league have 38 points while Black Pirates are on 35 points.

With a draw always very unlikely in 15-a-side rugby, the winner between Kobs and Pirates will win the 2021 league.

Last time out, both sides emerged triumphant with Kobs thumping Impis 00-91 at Makerere Graveyard while Black Pirates beat Jinja Hippos 33-11 at Kings Park, Bweyogerere.

However, both sides will be missing some of their crucial players who have traveled with the Rugby Cranes Sevens team for the Solidarity Camp organized by Rugby Africa in South Africa (Stellenbosch). Kobs players that will miss the clash are; Joseph Aredo, Ian Munyani, Adrian Kasito, Byron Oketayot and James Odongo. Black Pirates will be without Timothy Kisiga, Kelvin Balagade, Desire Ayera, Solomon Okia and Isaac Massanganzira.

Earlier in the day, title holders Heathens will host Rhinos in a lunch time (2 p.m) fixture at Kyadondo Rugby Club. Heathens are third on the table with 34 points while Rhinos are 7th with 13 points.

At the Graveyard, the Makerere derby will see Rams seek for their maiden win of the season when they play Impis. Rams are at the bottom of the table with 3 points while Impis are 8th with 9 points.

At Damwaters, Jinja Hippos will aim to finish the season on a high when they host Mongers while Warriors will aim to get their second win of the season when they face Buffaloes at Kyadondo. Hippos are fourth on the table with 20 points, three points ahead of 5th placed Mongers. Warriors are 9th with 4 points while Buffaloes are 6th with 13 points.
