The 2019 Kawalya Football Tournament in Lubya parish climaxed over the weekend with Lugala emerging victorious after beating Butuntumula 4-3 in penalties following a barren normal time draw in the final played on Sunday at the Masanafu playground.
Lubaga North MP Aspirant Abubaker Kawalya organized the tournament where participating teams from the parishes that make up the constituency were given a set of jersey and balls each.
The winners took home a bull, another set of jersey, trophy and medals. TheRunners up took a goat, set of jersey and silver medals.
Individual performers were also given envelops. The 2019 Kawalya football tournament started on 22nd June Kasubi and Nakulabye parish chapters respectively before heading to Lubya last weekend. It continues this week with Namirembe-Bakuli parish chapter.
