Lugazi FC, over the weekend unveiled the new kits and the twenty five (25) players ahead of the 2022/23 FUFA Big League (FBL) season.
In a ceremony held at their new home, Lugazi FC Stadium located in Najjembe, the two jerseys were unveiled, that is, yellow (home) and green (away), both manufactured by Mafro.
The unveiled squad has ten (10) players retained from those that helped the side gain promotion to the second tier league, and they are joined by fifteen (15) new players.
Last season’s Buganda Regional League top scorer, Gerald Ogweti, Moses Buga, Farouk Banga, Brian Ssali, Deogratious Ssentongo, Isaac Andrew Tamale, Titus Lubega, Farouk Nswemu, Ronald Kidawalime and Rashid Ssemwogerere are the players that have been retained.
The new boys at the club are Arafat Agonda (Simba/UWA FC), Faizo Muledhu, Ben Ntege (MYDA FC), Charles Bob Akena (Admin FC), Faizo Matovu (Lamancia), Watmon Florence (Mvara Boys), Frank Kasumba (Kireka United), Wasswa Paul (Lugazi Municipal FC), Shafic Kiryowa (Buikwe Red Stars FC), Lubega Muhammed Gift (URA FC), Kiiza David (Seeta United FC), Mwanje Derrick (Kataka FC), Fadili Morjan (Bul FC), Mwite Jamal (Bweyogerere FC), Okello Tabu (SC Villa Junior Team) and Baraka Bwanaheri (Kazo Excel).
The team’s coaching staff will be fully unveiled on a later date, with only two members being unveiled on the event. The two are Dan Ssegawa and Sharif Kassim.
