Coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi could be heading back to Mbarara City, this website has learned.

The Onduparaka coach was seen in a private meeting with Mbarara city boss and western youth MP Hon. Mwiine Mpaka on Monday, just hours before the Ankole Lions host Mbabazi’s Caterpillars.

He is in line to return to the western side that he led to fifth place finish last season.

The Ankole Lions parted ways with Paul Nkata on Sunday following a 3-0 away loss to BUL FC in Bugembe.

The dismal performance in the 21 days Nkata was in charge of the club -saw him win just once which his first game in charge.

Brian Ssenyondo who was in charge at the start of the season before being relieved of his duties after five games has been reinstated as caretaker coach.

Ssenyondo will be on the bench as Mbarara City FC host on Onduparaka FC this Tuesday.
