Mckinstry Names Local Based Cranes Players For S. Sudan Double-header

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Johnathan Mckinstry has named seven local based players to be included in the team for Match Day Three and Four of the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers double-header against South Sudan.

Uganda Cranes will play host to South Sudan Bright Stars on Thursday, November 12 at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende before the return leg in four days in Nairobi.
In November, Mckinstry had summoned 20-foreign based players for the same.

Uganda are atop Group B with four points from two games followed by Burkina Faso (4 points), Malawi (1) and South Sudan.

The local based Squad:

Goalkeepers: Lukwago Charles (KCCA FC)

Defenders: Galiwango Dissan (Vipers SC), Lwaliwa Halid (Vipers SC), Mbowa Patrick ( URA FC)

Midfielders: Kagimu Shafiq (URA FC), Watambala Karim (Vipers SC).

Forwards: Aheebwa Brian (KCCA FC).

Foreign-based Squad.
Denis Onyango, Salim Jamal Magoola, Joseph Ochaya, Alex Kakuba, Nicholas Wadada, Elvis Bwomono, Ronald Mukiibi, Timothy Awany, Michael Azira, Khalid Aucho, Luwagga Kizito, Farouk Miya, Emmanuel Okwi, Derick Nsibambi, Allan Kyambadde, Allan Okello, Fahad Bayo, Edrisa Lubega, Uche Ikpeazu and Alexis Bbakka.
