Ceylon Lions moved to the top of the Men’s 50 Over League with their fourth win of the season following a comprehensive 8 wicket win against Tornado at the Serenity Oval in Kamengo.
Ceylon Lions bowling made the game easy for them Ruwan Jayaratne (3/20), David Wabwire (2/9) and Deus Muhumuza (3/14) very mean with the ball. Falak Sher (64) knocked off the required with support from Deus Muhumuza (19) as Ceylon Lions picked up their 1st league win at the Serenity Oval.
In Kyambogo Avengers picked up their second win of the season and condemned Kutchi Tigers to their second loss of the season. Harshal Panchal (5/17) ripped through the Kutchi Tigers batting line to earn his team a comprehensive win.
In Entebbe Tornado and Patidar played out a low scoring thriller as Patidar won by just 3 runs.
Tornado looked good for the win at 108/5 but Chitani Kerai (5/21) threw a spanner in the works as a the final 5 wickets for Tornado scored just 5 wickets to gift Patidar a 3 run win.
A new look Tornado had some experienced names such as Rogers Olipa, Lubega Abdallah, John Gabula and Simon Ayella but nerves got the better of them to drop points.
