Bright Stars completed a double against Ndejje University following a 3-0 homePremier League win in Mwererwe on Saturday.

The Fred Kajoba side had not won in the calendar year 2019 since their away win at Paidha Black Angels in December at Green light stadium, Arua. Jamil Karisa, Juma Ssebaduka and Brian Kayanja scored to give Bright Stars 6th win of the season and move a place up to 10th while Ndejje remained in relegation zone –third from down.

Kikomeko equals Ayiekho record

Meanwhile, despite missing their leading striker Joel Madondo due to suspension, Kirinya Jinja SSS completed a double over relegation bound Nyamityobora with a 2-1 home win at the Mighty Arena, Jinja. Jerome Kirya scored his premier league goal whilst David Bagole scoring his second for the Jinja side in opening half before Ibrahim Dada netted his 7th of the season from the spot inside the five added minutes. As Abbey Bogere Kikomeko equalled Charles Ayiekho’s club record for the best start of a new coach (3W,2D,2L). Jinja SS moved two places to 8th while Nyamityobora remained second from the foot.

Tooro United maintain home record

In Fort Portal, Tooro United remains the only unbeaten side at home after their 1-0 win at Police courtesy of Steven Omvia 28thminute goal. The Wasswa Bbosa side consolidated their 6th position as Police slid a place to 9th.

 Rashid Toha still the man

Elsewhere, Onduparaka avenged Maroons first round loss with a 2-1 win in Arua. Ceasar Okhuti returned from injury with the opener inside the opening minute before Bronson Nsubuga levelled matters 69 minutes later. Skipper Rashid Toha continued his scoring spree with the winner in the 83rd minute to complete his Pilsner Man of the match show. The Caterpillars moved a place to 5th whilst Maroons stayed 13th, 4 points off relegation.
