Reigning Uganda Premier League top scorer Steven Mukwala has been nominated for the player of the month of March.
Mukwala who plays for URA FC will tussle it out with KCCA FC striker Sadat Anaku and Busoga United’s Shaka Ssozi.
The former Vipers SC and Maroons striker scored six goals during March and helped his side to maintain their charge towards a first league crown since 2011.
For Anaku, he also scored six goals in March as his KCCA side registered three, one draw and as many losses.
On the other hand, Shaka Ssozi for netted three times as Busoga registered four wins to move out of the relegation zone.
All the three are battling it out for the award that is given to the best player at the start of every Month.
The award comes with One Million shillings and a plaque.
In February, Police FC’s Brian Muluuli was voted the best player, edging Express FC striker George Senkaaba and Vipers SC forward Paul Mucureezi.
In the other category, Wasswa Bbosa, Sam Simbwa and Abby Bogere will via for the right to be named the coach of the month of March.
