MYDA FC were relegated to the FUFA Big League on Tuesday after they lost 6-1 at home to BUL FC.

The Malaba based side came into the game needing victory to keep thier slim hopes of staying in the Uganda Premier League but could not hang on as they were demolished by a rampant BUL side.

Joseph Ssemujju put the visitors ahead on 22 minutes to compound early pressure on the MYDA goal.

Simon Peter Oketch doubled BUL’s lead on 40 minutes before Ssemujju added another four minutes later.

MYDA were handed hope at the stroke of halftime through Rashid Mpata’s penalty.

Seven minutes into the second half, Oketch struck again to restore BUL’s three-goal caution.

Substitute Ismail Mugulusi got in on the act with Alex Isabirye’s side’s fifth on 71 minutes.

The thumping was completed by Deogracious Ojok who netted with 13 minutes to play.

The loss leaves MYDA on 14 points, 12 behind Busoga United who occupy 13th spot with three games to play.

For BUL, they stay in 11th despite climbing to 33 points from 27 games.

In their next fixtures, BUL hosts Vipers SC next Wednesday while MYDA are away to Express on the same day.
