Nam Blazers continue their impressive run in the regular season of the Tusker Lite National Basketball League (NBL) after they beat struggling Falcons 100-42 on Saturday at the YMCA basketball court in Wandegeya, Kampala.

The commanding 58-point game win over relegation-bound Falcons came just a day after Nam Blazers beat men’s division title holders City Oilers 63-61 at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.

The century win is the first in the regular season of the 2022 league in both the men and women’s divisions as Nam Blazers send a strong warning to rival sides with playoffs around the corner.

Chuol Nyout put up a great display for his Nam Blazers side posting a double double of 32 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists. He was named Tusker Lite player of the game.

Other good performers for Nam Blazers included Kenneth Muriithi Wachira with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists, Richard Ongom with 12 points and 3 rebounds, Joseph Ikong with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists and Christopher Omanye with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

In a losing effort, Kenneth Mesho with 12 points and 9 rebounds plus Mark Ngobi with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist tried to put in the work for Falcons but in vain as they remain the only winless side across all top tier divisions.

Nam Blazers are now fifth on the table with 30 points off 13 wins and 4 losses whilst Falcons are at the rock bottom of the 13-team log after 19 games.

The Tusker Lite National Basketball League continues on Sunday at the MTN Arena, Lugogo in Kampala.
