Taidenciah Oluoch was the standout player of the night as JKL Lady Dolphins beat KIU Rangers 73-50 to remain perfect in the regular season of the Tusker Lite National Basketball League (NBL).
The women’s division clash saw Oluoch shoot 16 points, 23 rebounds and 1 assist. She was named Tusker Lite player of the game.
Other top performers for Lady Dolphins included Hope Akello with 6 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists.
In a losing effort, KIU Rangers had a very scoring game with there leader of the night Rose Mary Amaniyo shooting 8 points and 4 rebounds whilst Clarisse Ntumba had 7 points and 4 rebounds.
The Friday win ensures that Lady Dolphins remain atop with 26 points off 13 wins from 13 games.
KIU Rangers on the other hand are second on the 10-team table with 24 points off 10 wins and 4 losses.
In the men’s game, Nam Blazers ensured that KIU sides all returned to Kansanga winless after they beat Titans 76-58.
It was a high paced game that saw the return of Titans’ Stanley Mugerwa with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist
However, it was Nam Blazers’ Dudus Monoja who stole the show with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists claiming player of the game award.
The Tusker Lite National Basketball League will run throughout the weekend as teams seek for playoffs slots as well as staying in the top tier division.
