Nile Breweries Uganda Limited through its flagship beer brand Nile Special, a proud partner of Ugandan Rugby, has announced its continued support for Uganda Rugby throughout the year 2025.

The commitment was reaffirmed during a press briefing held on Thursday at Kyadondo Rugby Club, graced by representatives from Nile Breweries Ltd and the Uganda Rugby Union.

With a rich legacy of collaboration, Nile Special remains dedicated to nurturing the game and its passionate fan base, proving once again that it is truly “Made of Uganda.”

The Uganda Rugby Premiership has already kicked off and Nile Special takes pride in maintaining its position as the title sponsor of this premier competition. Beyond the Premiership, Nile Special’s support will, as always, extend to other key properties on Uganda’s rugby calendar, including: the National Men’s and Women’s 7s, Regional 7s, Uganda Cup (Men and Women), University League, Annual Rugby Dinner among others.

Through these partnerships, Nile Special continues to elevate the sport, inspire excellence, and build a strong sense of community among players, fans, and stakeholders alike.

“To the players, carry on with the guts and grit to defy limits, overcome challenges, and inspire victories that make Uganda proud. Every try, every tackle, and every drop of sweat you give on the pitch embodies the unyielding spirit of champions. To the fans, raise your gold in celebration of the passion, energy, and solid support you bring to every game. You are the heartbeat of Ugandan Rugby, the driving force that fuels the players and electrifies every moment on match days,” said Eric Malinga, Brand Manager, Nile Special.

The Managing Director of Nile Breweries, Adu Rando, expressed his excitement for the year ahead, stating, “Together, let’s raise our game in 2025 — a year to yet again celebrate excellence, unity, and the unmatched bond that rugby and Nile Special create. Whether on the pitch or in the stands, this is our time to shine, our time to push forward, and our time to revel in the guts, grit, and gold that make rugby and Nile Special truly unforgettable.”

Nile Special’s longstanding partnership with the Uganda Rugby Union has been marked by monumental achievements, from building grassroots talent to enhancing the competitiveness of national teams on the regional and international stage.

As Uganda’s rugby family comes together for another exciting season, Nile Special celebrates the players and the fans, the true “Gold” of the game.
