USL Championship side Oakland Roots SC has announced the signing of 23-year-old Ugandan international midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga.
The talented playmaker joins the club after a successful stint with Austin FC II in MLS Next Pro, where he played a crucial role in helping the team secure the 2023 Championship.
Head Coach Gavin Glinton expressed his enthusiasm about Byaruhanga’s arrival, highlighting his experience and potential.
“Bobosi is a young player we are very excited to bring in to help solidify our midfield,” Glinton said. “To have the international experience and multiple league championships under his belt at such a young age has set him an incredible foundation into becoming a key player in our squad this season.”
Before his time in the United States, Byaruhanga played in Uganda’s top division with Vipers SC, where he won the 2022 Championship.
He has also represented the Ugandan National Team on multiple occasions, showcasing his skills on the international stage.
