Olila High School are the 2025 national champions of the Sky View Girls’ Schools Cricket Week after completing a perfect campaign that culminated in a thrilling five-wicket victory over Light Secondary School in the final held at Gulu High School Grounds.

Chasing a modest target of 46, Olila reached 48/5 in 13.5 overs, thanks to a composed innings from Victoria Pearls’ international Malisa Ariokot (27* off 33). Despite losing key batters like Asumin Akurut and Lona Anyait early to Light SS pacer Sarah Tino (3.5-2-7-3), Olila held their nerve to seal the win and their fourth Sky View national title.

Earlier, Light SS, who had stunned Sacred Heart SS by two runs in the semifinals, collapsed for just 45 runs in 19.4 overs. Only captain Misheal Ariago (22 off 47) showed resistance as Olila’s Immaculate Nandera ran riot with a sensational 7/7 in 3.4 overs – the best bowling figures of the tournament. Nandera’s match-winning performance earned her both the Player of the Final and Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.

Olila’s title run saw them finish unbeaten across all nine matches. Their semifinal against Masaka SS was a one-sided affair, with Olila cruising to a 10-wicket win. Devine Nyamer (4-0-9-1), Akurut (4-0-5-2), and three run-outs helped restrict Masaka to 55/7. In reply, Akurut (31) and Joan Ilora (20) completed the chase without losing a wicket in just 10 overs.
