Omuriwe summons Volleyball Cranes provisional squad for World Championship Zonal Qualifiers

Newly appointed Volleyball Cranes (Uganda men’s national volleyball team) Head Coach Shilla Omuriwe Buyongo has summoned a provisional squad of 18 players for the upcoming 2022 World Championship Zonal Qualifiers slated for next month either in Tunisia or Rwanda.

This development was confirmed on Wednesday, 21st July in a press conference at the Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) offices at Unicalo Building in Lugogo, Kampala.

Omuriwe was also officially unveiled at the same event  alongside her dugout.

The provisional team that has lots of experienced players also comprises of six rookies, that is; Brian Atuhaire, Gideon Angiro, Emmanuel Okia, Nathan Okare, Moses Odeke and Marino Oboke.

The team will enter a bubble for a residential training next week. The final squad will have 14 players who will travel for the event.

UVF Vice President Ahmed Kiggundu will be the Volleyball Cranes Team Manager for the upcoming Zonal meet.
